Attending 6.5 years, teaching 5, taught in Bothell/Kirkland, some in Bellevue, and now owner of FIT4MOM Issaquah, Sammamish and SnoRidge. I'm certified in Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre and Body Back and hold a Personal Training Certificate from ACE.

Favorite exercise move:
Plie Squat with a Lat Pull or Burpees (yep, I like them!)

Favorite thing to do on a weekend when there are no plans:
There are ALWAYS plans!! Run, ski, stand up paddle board, beach, BBQ with friends, hike, camp, wander the city, catch a flick, shop with Julie...

One really cool thing about you: I also teach childbirth and breastfeeding education. I think that's rad.

The best thing about you is: My amazing friends and my girls. I couldn't do any of this without them, and I do it all for them.

I'm certified in Stroller Strides & Fit4Baby, currently I teach Monday at East Sammamish Park and Thursday at the YWCA in Issy

Favorite thing to do on a weekend when there are no plans:
Enjoy some quality family time during the day and hang out with my girlfriends in the evening!

One really cool thing about you is:
I'm the coolest thing since sliced bread! No really, I'm a true Midwesterner at heart. I moved out to the PNW at 19 leaving everything I knew behind me. I came out here with not much of a plan and 11 years later here I am.

The best thing about you:
I am super laid back and a go with the flow kind of girl. I don't like stressing over small things. I am a loyal friend and am always up for a good time.

Time with Fit4Mom, where you teach and which programs you are certified in: I have been a member of this tribe since June 2016, I became an instructor in Feburary 2017, I am certified to teach Fit4Baby and Stroller Strides. I currently teach in Issaquah Highlands M&W and T on Snoqualmie Ridge.

Favorite exercise move: Bicep Curls/Triceps- I'm all about getting some toned arms!

Favorite thing to do on a weekend when there are no plans: Go on an adventure with my family. We love exploring Seattle and all it has to offer.

One really cool thing about you is: I'm getting to do my dream job! Being a stay at home mommy and fitness instructor give me so much joy!

The best thing about you: I'm really go with the flow and love helping others out.

Time with Fit4Mom, where you teach and which programs you are certified in: I have been a member of this tribe since 2016, I became an instructor in early 2017, I am certified to teach Fit4Baby and Stroller Strides. I currently teach at Jeanne Hansen park in Snoqualmie Ridge.

Favorite exercise move: Push-ups! I love how many muscle groups get worked in such a simple movement. I also love squats!

Favorite thing to do on a weekend when there are no plans: Be present with my little ones and my husband. We are all busy with our own lives, I love spending quality time with them on our property. We love being outside digging in the dirt. We also love watching Football (go Huskies!)

One really cool thing about you is: When I was in high school I tried out for a league rowing team, I had no interest in joining this team, I just went to support my friends. The coach wanted me to sign up and be their coxswain because of my loud voice and my ability to motivate the team. I never joined, but that loud motivating voice is still with me.

The best thing about you: I really love people. I love making connections and sharing stories of motherhood.

Four kiddos - 10 months, 11 y/o, 12 y/o, 14 y/o

Time with Fit4Mom: I have been a member of this tribe since 2016, and I became a certified Fit4Baby and Stroller Strides Instructor in early 2017. I currently teach Stroller Strides at Jeanne Hansen Park in Snoqualmie Ridge.

Favorite exercise move: Squats! Get it right, get it tight.

Favorite thing to do on a weekend: Spend time with family

One really cool thing about you is: In a previous life, I was a spy. No, really.

The best thing about you: I'm a passionate person and jump in feet first in everything I do. I'm most passionate about my family, Africa, and Fit4Mom.

Time with Fit4Mom/Where I teach -
I began coming to Fit4Mom stroller strides when my son was 6 weeks old in 2012. I fell in love and continued for 4 years until I went back to work. At that time I found BodyBack which gave me an hour to work my body to a level I haven't reached before. I consider myself a "lifer"!

Favorite Exercise Move -
Push ups. And every variation of plank I can think of!

Favorite Thing to do on a Weekend -
Depends on my mood but I get enjoyment feeling like I accomplished something over the weekend - doing a project, getting out of the house with the family, seeing my kids experience something new, and sleep/relaxing with the hubs.

One Really Cool Thing About You -
I run my Body Back classes like a dance party. I like my music loud, with a good beat, love to drip sweat, and have fun!

Best Thing About Me -
I'm just like all of you; trying to figure out how to be a working mom, eat nutritious foods, cook healthy meals, put myself first, raise two children, have a healthy marriage, and exercise while finding balance.

Time with Fit4Mom, where you teach and which programs you are certified in:
I've been with Fit4Mom for 9 years now, attending a mix of Stroller Strides and Body Back over the years. It's where I found my village -- and we are all still tight in spite of the fact that our kids are now way too big for strollers! I completed my certification to teach Body Back in February 2017 and haven't looked back. I love teaching and challenging clients to take it to the next level.

Favorite exercise move:
Burpees. One of the best functional moves out there. Love 'em or hate 'em, they're going to get you fit!

Favorite thing to do on a weekend when there are no plans:
Go for a walk in the woods, work in my garden, go skiing, play with my kids, or make a cup of tea and curl up with a good book.

One really cool thing about you is:
I love birth and babies. I am a certified Childbirth & Lactation Educator and run a support group for moms and dads who are coping with postpartum anxiety or depression.

The best thing about you:
I'm all about your story. It's what draws me to birth work and it's what connects me to people throughout my life. The longer you listen and the more you open your heart to hold that vulnerable space for others, the more perspective it brings me on my own life. I'm not afraid to take that risk.

A little about Katie

Time with Fit4Mom, where you teach and which programs you are certified in: I've been with Fit4Mom since 8 weeks after Stella was born. I'm getting certified to teach Body Back.

Favorite exercise move: Lunges! Forwards, backwards, to the side, weighted, with a curl, press, or tricep kickback! I don't discriminate!

Favorite thing to do on a weekend when there are no plans: Get in a good workout, spend time with my family, get out with some friends, and have a date with my husband to a tasty restaurant enjoying some good food (and wine!).

One really cool thing about you is: I'm a small business owner, times two! I own a marketing consulting firm (my main gig) as well as an Italian restaurant (with my family) in Snoqualmie.

The best thing about you: I'm an innately positive person, and I tend to see the "glass half full." Mix that with a healthy dose of dry humor, and you've got me!

Time with Fit4Mom: I joined Fit4Mom almost 1 year ago. I loved it so much i wanted to be a coach. I teach Body Back at Confluence Park on Mondays and Wednesday at 6am

Favorite exercise move: Jump Squats. I really love anything that uses a lot of power and makes you feel strong!

Favorite thing to do on a weekend when there are no plans: anything outdoors. Hiking, Stand up paddleboarding, Wake surfing, horseback riding, bbqing. Anything with the family makes it even more enjoyable

One really cool thing about you is: I competed at WSU throwing the Javelin. I'm also a TWIN!
